Three Favorite Toms
I am obviously obsessed with Toms. I've written multiple posts about them (like here, here and here) and most of my outfits start with, "What matches these Toms?" I love the One for One mission behind the company and I think the shoes are adorable! I love the fact that there are so many different styles to chose from as well. I recently acquired my eighth pair (the red J Marro classics, on the far right in the gif-click to activate) and I know I'll buy many more as the weather warms up!

One Day Without Shoes
Tuesday, April 5 was Toms Shoes One Day Without Shoes. This is an annual event that helps to raise awareness for the millions of children around the world that have to live their lives without shoes. When someone walks around barefoot, others ask why they're doing it, they inform them about the One for One mission, and knowledge is spread to many people.
Front of my shirt says "A few feet can go a long way" My day without shoes was such an incredible experience. I was so greatful to be a part of such an important event. Thankfully the weather cooperated and it was sunny and 60 all day long! I stepped on glass, rocks and the occassional bug, but for every bad thing I stepped on, it made me so thankful for all the 364 days in a year that I am blessed with multiple shoes to choose from. Toms is such a wonderful company because not only are they looking out for themselves, but they are helping change the world one pair of shoes at a time.

Country Lady
Levi's jean jacket; Old Navy tank top; LC by Lauren Conrad skirt; TOMS shoes
When I was naming this post, I couldn't decide whether to call it "Country Lady" or "Downtown Lady". I thought this looked somewhere inbetween, since I'm wearing a beautiful and flowy ash pink skirt with a jean jacket. The jean jacket and the messy braid are the country side with the skirt, tight tank and bow being the downtown side. I've been wanting to try out the side braid with a bow for a while, and today was the day to try it, since my hair wasn't working with me. I had this outfit planned for while, with tights added onto it, but seeing as the seasons refuse to change, I nixed them and rolled up the sleeves of my jacket to stay a little cooler. Watch for the second coming of this skirt later in the fall when I'll add tights and a lightweight sweater!

Looking for the perfect shoes?
Have you been looking for a pair of shoes that are comfortable, not super expensive, adorable, and maybe are green or help a cause? Well look no further for I have found the answer to your shoe woes. Toms Shoes is a shoe company that donates one pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair purchashed. That is their One for One mission. They have seasonal collections and for spring and summer they have the cutest colors. Coral, pink, sky blue and green are just a few of the solids they carry. And if you're looking for prints they have many of those too. I recently bought my first pair and they are more than I could ever have asked for. I didn't really care much about comfort or style because, hey, I'm helping out! But this brand went above and beyond my expectations. Because they run true to size when I received the shoes they were a bit snug, but after wearing them around my house they stretched out and molded to my feet. I bought the Light Blue Linen Bridgeport and I cannot get enough of them. At $48 I am already lining up to buy another pair! For all of you who want to make a difference for someone, but don't want to have to do any work, this is your way out! Check these shoes out before you buy any others!
